A few hours is good, and makes more sense continuing in the same chapter, whether it gets renamed or not.
Just got to decide where to push Simey. His duty would be to report to someone what's happened, but that's kind of boring.

The great thing is that Armadalus has just seen Cloe and got called a liar. And the enemy came from nowhere apparently with weird powers. Unpredictable decisions and directions because of those few facts are easy On an entirely different topic, your shiny RPoL account should have several more PMs than it had before!

Wait..what? A new post? COOL! Now all I have to do is stop being scared tentacles will get me.

Nah, wrong tactic. Tentacles will always get you! What you have to stop being scared of is that fact. Embrace the tentacles! Or let them embrace you; or....something. Anyway, it's non-stop tentacle action from this day forward!
To your amazement, the ruins are being defended by a young man no older than yourself. You recognise his sky-blue tentacles embroidered with stars!
Then the large Noodnic addresses you, saying he is the leader of this colony. His name is Gashgiss and he welcomes you and invites you to join him on top of a raised tentacle in the centre of the chamber!
Between you and Vonotar a deep moat is forming. From out of the dark slithers a huge, ghoulish, green monster. Its deformed head is a mass of tentacles and suckers that ooze a putrid black slime!
Hmm, something of an anti-climax that last one....

Ah, interesting, I have been hovering over this West Watch for the last week or so, looking to write a post. Did you have an idea for who was behind you, or could this be considered a hook?

I did have an idea of dubious quality. But it is partly a delaying tactic, so I'd far more welcome the grabbing of a hook - in case that's your thought - than writing by myself. My (semi) promise to myself is that I really will try very hard to write something at least once a fortnight, even if that means just a short post to keep things ticking over - want to try and stop these long gaps that just build up because I can't/don't sit down for long enough to get what I want to do done all at once. Anyway, if you've been looking to write a post, that's exceedingly cool! Really thought I'd be on my own, at least for a while.

Yeah, I had the first post part in my head, but no direction afetr that. So it might all work out well then

Sounds good. As you can tell, I'm still only gradually disentangling myself from the Chaos army stuff, and where I go immediately is far vaguer than where I get to long term. If you want to write as closely connected as deciding who has bashed Simey over the head, that'd be very cool - more than happy to ditch where I was going with that and react to something different. Or if you want to write in a more distantly connected or not-at-all connected way, that's cool too. It'd just be cool to 1) not be the only one WWing, and 2) see Beowuuf's story progress ('cause I feel fairly sure you've had some long term ideas bubbling away - your posts previous to the restart seemed to suggest that anyway

Damn, was it really 3/4 of a year I planned to follow you back in? Anyway, cool new entry. I will add my own, I promise!
Perhaps we can persuade some RPoL fellows that they want to flex their muscles?

Yeah, and it was about that long ago that I sort of decided I would post at least once a fortnight. Oops. But I think work closing down got in the way back then. Hopefully I can post regularly now I've finally vaguely figured out an exit from the corner I'd painted myself into.. You should post - I'd rather read as well as write! And I want to see the return of Beowuuf! Anyone else getting involved would be great if they have the time and inclination. But I think it needs momentum. In the good old days other people posting pushed you to post and vice versa. Now it really takes a strong want to write something to actually get round to it, 'cause the WW has basically stopped. But if it ever did so happen that we managed to create a bit of momentum again, I suppose you never know....

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!!
Lovely post there, sir! Though it makes me fear that poor old Beowuuf - who already had darkness within the make up of his various entities - has maybe had a further darkness enter his being. Eek.

It's the pay off for something that happened in the KDJT. Zipp had Dark sonar infect Beowuuf someone in the final fighting match. It was one of these 'pay it off or don't' narrative thingies. Always wanted to find a way to do that, realised this was the way to do it. Obviously in the continuity of the WW as opposed to the forum, it woulnd't have actually been Dark Sonar, though easily some incident with a disguised NAK.... or something...
What it means, of course, I guess we'll figure out going onwards! For one, it allowed me to get rid of the bluesteel shards in Beowuff's arm. That sorta bugged me since his inception, because I'd had all the ideas at once, and by the time I realised the shard idea had evolved from Rune Dancer's own story, it was sort of set in as the perfect method of honouring the 'bluesteel needeed for casting spells'; stuff of the d20, as well as a character thingie.
Woudl I be wrong in thinking the person issuing a warning to the village Simey has found himself in was possibly Sahmas?

Ah, I wondered about the pulling out of the shards. Short answer to your question: yes, you are wrong. Didn't know back in whenever-it-was last year whether I'd be writing by myself, so didn't think of stealing anyone else's character. I've already hijacked Armadalus from Zipp on a permanent basis! Long answer: hmm, could it be Sahmas though? Would be interesting. Though Sahmas is a good guy, isn't he? Actually, Sahmas and Armadalus were together in your previous post, weren't they? Unsurprisingly, I intend to bring Armadalus back into things before too long, so if you want to keep Sahmas involved, he could either be doing something independently or still be with Armadalus.

Yay! Beowuuf's back! Excellent stuff there! Love him not realising he's talking to himself. Got to be multiple signs of madness right there. I take it by the scent he's following you're happy to tie the characters back together to some extent or other, at least for a while....? If Beowuuf fancied rescuing Simey from the weird little village he's in, that might well be rather cool (and give me a way out, one of which I've not yet contrived). What are your thoughts?

Yup, seems like a plan! How did you intend for Armadalus to come back in to it, or did you? Personally, I'm happy to have Sahmas missing right now and in an indeterminant state, although if Armadalus does reappear, at least have him confirm they both managed to escape.
