I'm pretty sure Intel will say you invalidated your warranty by trying to overclock your CPU.

The English countryside is rapidly disappearing too! There may be some left in Cumbria and Devon though. Ah, now that's where train travel is very good - you get to see that there is actually an awful lot of greenery between most of the built-up bits. Not that there isn't way too much building on green belt land going on - there is - but England, and even more so the other countires of the U.K., is still a relatively green and pleasant land. The best train journey I can think of in the UK is between Edinburgh and Newcastle, especially along the coast in Northumbria, simply an amazing view. Part of the problem Simey is that people expect government to run like a business (think about how often people complain about MPs and such not having any 'real' experience in business), but forgetting that the provision of public goods is not about the bottom line, it is about something more. People only complain, though, when they are at the receiving end of cutbacks. As for the state of US healthcare, I think their are two major reasons for that. Firstly, the fact that the campaign financing rules are such that people can spend what they want, meaning they become beholden to those who supply the big bucks. Guess who that is? Big business. In Canada the rules are so tight that the ruling Conservatives were accused of stealing the election because they allegedly spend about a million Canadian over their maximum 20 million. Think about that - that means that a party can raise what it needs through small donating individuals and not become beholding to large corporations (and in the US, where the scale would be 10 time, Obama has managed to raise over 200 million from small individual donations). The second reason is that issues such as gun control, abortion and the place of creationism in the classroom take a higher precedence than education and health care. this means the provision of public goods take second stage to issues that are up to the courts to decide.

I'm pretty sure Intel will say you invalidated your warranty by trying to overclock your CPU. Do you think I have said that. And the reason the board have broke was because of their 2x4 to 2x2 12V adaptor. And they have wrote in their product guide, "Not to use if you are using a P4 Extreme Edition or a CPU that is not running at his default value". So it's really from an insufficient electric source. Without that, my motherboard would have run perfectly and be able to take more but as you see, it was too late. And I was just doing a soft overclocking, my last stable config was at 312 of FSB(instead of 266). Some extreme overclocker bring it up to 500to 550Mhz. It's my CPU that should have broke but the Core 2 Duo is awesome.

You've forgotten the fact that the people in power here are connected to the people who run the pharmaceutecal industry. That industry really likes being able to charge 30 bucks for something that cost them not even a dollar to produce. America is a club for the rich and powerful, where they pat each other's bal- sorry, backs, and spoon feed each other while us dirty peasants are distracted by things like PS3s and Television. Speaking of which, I'm on my way to get a PS3 and MGS4.

Yesterday was my last day (for now at least) in my job of seven and a half years (general checkout/cash/grocery monkey in a supermarket). In a couple of weeks I start two months of teaching English to international students at a local summer school. I completed the teaching course over two years ago, but have done very little with it until now. I am pretty terrified, and not at all convinced that I'm gonna cope with the work, but I've got to take the opportunity as it has arisen (and work have made it pretty clear that the door is always open should I crash and burn and come running back to them, which is nice to know). So I now have a couple of weeks to delve into my books and try and get my head round teaching again - yikes. If anyone notices me spending many hours a day on here in the next fortnight, please tell me off!

Yes! No Displacement activities! Do a WF and kill your character off in the West Watch so no distraction there!
Well, while it's hard to know how someone is like on person, on the forum you come across as personable, reasonable and knowledgeable, yet not in your face about the last part at all.
So as long as you know it then you should be able to cope with it, and let's face it if you can digest the facts of the LWRPG or Eshnar, then why wouldn't you laugh at something like the english language!
Unless..prepositions were an illusion caused by Zipp too.... oh god, what it words do have gender in english but die to their undead emaciation we just haven't spotted it. Get back *takes out shotgun*
Umm, sorry, drifted off the point a little, which was probably somethign like good luck and don't worry
And aim for the head

Cheers! Hmm - sage advice, perhaps, but I'd best try not to be muttering that to myself as I make my way to my first class if I don't want to be curtly escorted from the premises. ;D

I hope you do well in your new position Simey.
As for me, I've mostly been playing MGS4 and Half Life (with a bit of GTAIV thrown in) to celebrate my graduation (in between work, of course).
And I was thinking that tonight or tommorrow I'd crack my knuckles and get back into the WW and start up my character for Maerin's game.

Well... On Sunday I fell over (not drunk!) and chipped one of my front teeth. So today I got to visit the dentist to get a diagnosis. He's going to try a normal filling, but it might turn out that I need it capped.
Not the end of the world, but I look even uglier than normal at the moment. Gah! Oh and I bought the DVD of Ricky Gervais' show Fame.

He's going to try a normal filling, but it might turn out that I need it capped. I fell and shattered part of my left central maxillary incisor several years ago. My mouth felt pretty weird afterwards but it wasn't painful, and my dentist capped it a few days later (a painless procedure). The first cap fell out after a couple of days so I had to get a new one, but that held and everything's been fine since, so it's no biggie.

Congrats for your new job and I hope it have gone well for you. As for me, I have quit the landscaping and come back in the security again. But I got a nice new position and better than my old security job. Too, Intel have send me back a new motherboard. LOL!!!!!! Must go today at UPS to take it. Life is wonderful.
