Hey, who's the author of the Mini-adventure? Isn't it Richard Ford, aka Fordy (new TotS), aka BaneHawk (old TotS)? Yes, it is. He mentioned it a while ago on the Mongoose forums as well.

Well, that's the first member of TotS that gets his mini-adventure published. We know that GreyWolf will have his in book 8, and I know that at least another member will have his published too. 3 out of 8 mini-adventures are written by TotS members. Not a bad thing, hey?

I think getting our members to write the mini-adventures is a great idea. It should do wonders for quality control, as if there's anything wrong with the adventure we'll never let them live it down.

Maerin laughs. Such a compellingly-persuasive arguement you offer there, Doomy.

Well, banehawk/fordy was mongoose first before tots, right? He is not working for Mongoose anymore and when he left, I think that he didn't know that he would be making a mini-adventure. EDIT: Ah, outspaced from PA found the quote I needed for the flag problem in the original book 5: Lone Wolf Club Newsletter New Year's Special 1986:Q. Who has nicked the flag off the top of the town of Kuchek? It was there on the map of Chasm of Doom, but not in Shadow on the Sand.A. The missing flag has caused Gary much embarrassment since the publication of Shadow on the Sand. He sends his apologies and hopes that it didn't spoil the adventure for anyone.

I think the map is a little dark. I would like to see the desert in yellow, rather than a different shade of brown! Otherwise (equipment aside) it looks great and is by far the best presented book of them all.

I got mine book yesterday, had a minor humourous moment, when my father picked up the box and thought that came from Sweden. Actually, it was printed "Swindon"
*chuckles*

To be fair also, GenCon is going on here in the U.S. right now (through Sunday). I do not know how much of a presence Mongoose has had in the past couple years I have not gone, but I would assume they will probably have at least some presence with their recent license announcements and the like.

I do not know how much of a presence Mongoose has had in the past couple years I have not gone, but I would assume they will probably have at least some presence with their recent license announcements and the like. According to this guy: "I was at GenCon today and spoke with one of their staffers. He claimed the books (the novels) would try to be out in September (only a year delayed!) and that they are trying to get Book 29 out in November.
They also had copies of Book 6, which looked good. He said they would be shipping out to customers very soon."

Maerin nods Since they are there then, I think that may explain any slowdowns in communications, at least those that might have occurred in the past week. That does not explain the rest of the "slowdowns in communications", but at least one week can be accounted for.
