The funny thng is - the NAK are still the common powerful enemy. While perhaps biased to the Kai, as we can see with FP's quest, it's far reaching everywhere
Anyway, there are still many fractured and good storylines ongoing - time to heal those first I hope before carrying on with something new?

Four good classes anyway I guess what we're looking for is some sort of Age of Apocolypse story, where theres one uber-bad guy and everyone has is forced to work together. Is that the kinda thing you had in mind Zipp??

Well, there is certainly no reason to suspect that creatures of chaos would be subject to Naar's goals and purposes...and even where that the case, the various Evil forces already within the world might have some objection to be ruthlessly destroyed without having any say or offer of compensation/benefit.
Not saying the idea is a good one (which is certainly not my opinion at all), but just addressing the general merit of the threat in terms of a "united against universal badness" idea.

Is that the kinda thing you had in mind Zipp?? It fits the bill, yeah. I think something to reconsolidate everyone and bring in some new members would be great. Having a bunch of tangential storylines is fun, but I think it's overwhelming for new members. My future desire for the WW would be to have it so that at the beginning of every chapter there was some event that could affect everyone and briefly intertwine at least some of the stories. This way, at every chapter's start there's something for new writers or returning writers to respond to. I'm not saying we shouldn't have tangential storylines. By the end of the chapter, characters will have broken off into whatever tangential storylines they decided to lead. But some consolidating event at the start would provide a nice structure to the WW. Users could come up with the event together, giving another way for people who didn't have time to write to contribute to the storyline. When the WW began, it was much like this. The initial events all concerned the Darklords building a fleet against the Kai, and everyone was in some way connected to this. Even my story began with Zipp being left in charge of the Sages while Tyrenis went to help deal with the attack. From there, her storyline grew into something completely tangential, but it was nice to have that foundation to work off of. EDIT: Note that when I say consolidation, I don't neccesarily mean that all the characters have to meet and decide their fate together. But if there was something they could all respond to, in their own ways, or at least acknowledge, it provides a good in for other characters and keeps the WW feeling like a community project, rather than a conglomeration of stories.

Disabled it from doing partial words for now, but I reckon we should just get rid of it It's not like we've had a problem with totsians using inappropriate language before. I say just get rid of it. Sarra, who remembers laughing with Zipp in their Star Wars RPG when he typed in the word 'cockpit'.

Heh, we simultaneously posted again.
Yeah, I remember wondering what the heck a "thingypit" was. I figured it was just some starwars thing.

Ok, I'm not sure of the whole "event at the start of each chapter", but I understand what you mean. Perhaps once in a while, but not at every chapter. A lot of us are spreading our stories well over 3 or 4 chapters. I think it would be more appropriated to decide of these big events only once in a while (like we do now, after what? Three years of WW?).

The absolute censoring classic was Dick Van Dyke's name though. Project Aon turned the dear chap's name into Thingy Van Happy person.

But I reckon Thingy Van Happy person would've done a better cockney accent in Mary Poppins!

So, I'm ready to join back in the WW, but I'll wait till Chapter's end, if you guys are close to it (you know, so I can read the synopsis, and what not). Er... are you close to it? The absolute censoring classic was Dick Van Dyke's name though. Project Aon turned the dear chap's name into Thingy Van Happy person. Oh my god! I'd forgotten about that! It still makes me laugh, remembering it now!

For Sarra's storyline it pretty much depends on what Falling Phoenix wants to do at this point.

Are we going to start up the Chaos Invasion? We need to dream up of something that can unite all classes.

I think it's still up in the air We don't have to decide right now, given that there is still alot of chapter 17 to write. See if anything naturally tends towards a common enemy. Current threads everyone has that might provoke a common enemy: - the helghast plot in lyris and/or the helghast plot with BC. Are they one and the same plot for some over-riding reason? - Eshnar (big scary stuff in there still?) - Xog re-incarnated. Is he back on his own, or is he now serving a new agenda? - the blood plauge. It's still not resolved, the cener and being blamed by Dessi. IS a major war coming when the real culprit is unknown to both sides? - vassgonians breeding special giaks, is there somethign even darker behind that? If none of these thread combine or appeal, then of course a new one can be found given more time/ We've only been back a week, it just seems longer
